Banana Caramel Cream Pie
We had a few too many bananas in our organic fruit and veggie box this week. The grand kids aren’t here since school is about to start and I don’t care for bananas, my husband does but how many can one man eat before they go bad. This will be my very first dessert post. I am not really big on desserts, just give me some fruit or a hunk of dark chocolate and I’m good.
Since desserts aren’t truly my thing I went with the easiest recipe I could find (I have to use these bananas). Just your basic graham cracker crust which I did make myself and some vanilla pudding. I figured if I added some caramel and whipped topping it would fancy it up a bit. It worked and even though the pie isn’t the prettiest pie you’ve ever seen it actually tastes delicious and I even ate a slice of banana.
To be really honest, the banana story is the truth, but this post is really about photography, My photography. I have been playing around with my camera functions after reading Helene Dujardin’s book Plate to Pixel. Her book has opened up a whole new world for me. Everyday I see so many beautiful food blogs with photos that look good enough to eat and then look at my own, it’s time for a change. In the last day or so I have taken probably 300 pictures, I even took a photo of an old sponge that was lying around forgotten by someone.
This is my first post with a new slant on food photography. Please feel free to leave a comment with any and all criticisms or suggestions, I would really appreciate the feedback. Thanks for taking the time to check this out and have a great week.
